Give to the Mediterranean, and see what it does
Once or every month; 10, 25, 50 EUR or an amount of your own. Before you commit, a sentence under the amount tells you exactly what it pays for.
Choose your gift
Pick how often and how much. The sentence under the amount changes as you choose, using our own costing: 25 EUR replants 12 square metres of seagrass.
- 91% of every euro goes to the field, whatever you give.
- A monthly gift lets teams plan planting and net recovery seasons ahead.
- The panel ends at a confirmation step — no card details, no payment taken on this page.
What your euros fund
Two figures do the arithmetic for you. Every amount in the panel above is worked out from them.
-
12m²
of seagrass replanted for every 25 EUR — 4.8 m² for 10 EUR, 24 m² for 50 EUR.
-
91%
of every euro goes to the field: 22.75 EUR of a 25 EUR gift.
Other ways to support the work
Not every kind of support fits a donation panel. If you want to help in another way, these are the places to start.
Questions before you give
Is any payment taken on this page?
No. The panel lets you choose a frequency and an amount, shows what it funds, and ends at a confirmation step. No card details are asked for and no money changes hands on this site. To complete a gift, write to the team in Marseille.
Where does my money go?
91% of every euro goes to the field: the people, boats and seedlings behind seagrass restoration, ghost-net removal and community fishing agreements. The remaining 9% keeps a registered charity running properly — accounts, governance and raising the next euro. The full breakdown is on the Transparency page.
How is “12 square metres for 25 EUR” worked out?
It is the Trust's own costing for seagrass replanting: 25 EUR replants 12 square metres, which is 0.48 square metres for every euro. The panel uses it so you can picture an amount as sea floor.
Should I give once or monthly?
Both help. A one-off gift goes to work straight away. A monthly gift lets the teams plan planting and net recovery seasons ahead, because they know what is coming in.
Who is Blue Meridian Ocean Trust?
A registered marine conservation charity, founded in 2011 and based in Marseille. We work across the Mediterranean, with 14 projects active today. So far: 640 hectares of seagrass replanted and 212 tonnes of ghost nets removed.
