-
Before the heads of terms: questions a seller should settle early
Much of what is argued over late in a sale could have been decided at the start. A short note on the points worth agreeing before the lawyers draft anything.
-
The first letter in a dispute, and why it matters
The opening correspondence often sets the tone of everything that follows. What a first letter should do, and what it should leave unsaid.
-
Changing terms of employment without losing goodwill
Businesses change, and contracts sometimes must change with them. On doing so lawfully, in the right order, and with the workforce kept informed.
-
Leaving a technology supplier: the clause to read first
Exit terms are rarely negotiated with care when a contract is signed. Why they deserve attention at the outset, and what they should cover.
Publication dates
The design gives each note a date in small capitals above its title. The brief does not include publication dates, so each card is marked with its chapter instead, and the notes are not yet linked to full articles. When the firm supplies the dates and the text of each note, the dates take the place of the chapter line.
